AITA | I want to reach out to my sister after being gone for 2 years

At first they were confused, angry and upset that I disappeared so suddenly and it shook the whole family. When I got back in contact with my parents and explained everything my other siblings got back in contact at different times but have voiced they worry about it happening again since it caused a lot of hurt.

I wasn't as close with my other siblings since they often had other things going on and we had different lives from each other, such as being LGBT+ while my other siblings were straight and raised in a conservative household so they just didn't understand and as a result tended to be rude. Me and my sister were the only LGBT+ and nerdy members of the family and we had a stronger bond from sticking up for each other over the years. My siblings are a lot more understanding nowadays and I speak to some of them now and then
