That doesn't mean the antidepressant increased the desire for suicide...it just made it easier for the person to get up and do it. Correlation, but not causation. The mood didn't really cause it, the easyness did. Or that's how I see it.

There were times that if I had had a gun, I would have. That doesn't mean the gun caused it....it's that I was unwilling to hang myself, or start both of my cars running the the garage (tried that once.... apparently it wasn't air tight enough)

I don't think it's easy to say antidepressants cause suicide, or that being content with their choice before hand means they were happy. I also doubt there is scientific reviews of this.
