I am Dr Jordan B Peterson, U of T Professor, clinical psychologist, author of Maps of Meaning and creator of The SelfAuthoring Suite. Ask me anything!

Hi Dr. Peterson - I've been very interested in your thoughts on the nature of religious truth vs scientific truth, and I would like to clarify your views in as specific a way possible. Which (if any) of the following statements do you believe to be true?

  1. There is a God/deity of some kind which knows your private thoughts.

  2. There is a God/deity of some kind who cares how you live your life and what moral choices you make.

  3. Around 2000 years ago a human called Jesus was medically dead for 3 days before returning to life.

  4. Humans continue to experience things after the point when their bodies die, in some form of "afterlife".

  5. There are multiple available afterlives to which humans are allocated based on their moral standing.

I would also be interested in your description of the way in which you believe any of these statements to be true and whether you would consider them to be objectively true, or only true in a sense of them being a prevailing or useful human belief.

Thanks a lot for your time!
