The amount of racists in America is severely overestimated.

We do not need to vilify white people for their biases, we just need to address the current structure of society. Black people having and making less money, higher presence in prison, lower graduation rates, lower access to non-processed foods, fewer positions of power. Conscious bias of whites led to this system in the previous few hundred years, and it is now perpetrated mainly by unconscious bias of whites because generally that is where the power and money is. No one needs to be a villain, but we do need to recognize that it is a problem and deal with it.

What would be racist is looking at that list and saying that these problems are not due to a racist societal structure and instead due to black people being lazy/criminals/whatever and then refusing to deal with the inequality. Everyone does not have equal opportunity right now, so while no one should be racist (and being good to one another is definitely a worthy cause), talking about how everyone is racist does not help with this specific issue.
