okay, this will be a bit of a rant, so bear with me.

first I WAS pressured into thinking sex before marriage is a big no no by my community but that changed as I went to the U.S.

unlike most people, who when going to Western nations, lose hold of their moral compass and views, It had the opposite effect on me.

not only it strengthened my views on sexuality, it also brought a sort of disgust (can't find another "milder" word for it) about the things that are sort of acceptable in there.

for example, when I went there, I enrolled into high school to continue my education and I met a girl who was pregnant in her 7 month, the culprit? an "ex"-boyfriend who is now in prison for whatever crime he committed. to some one who lives in the west this might be normal, and I knew stuff like that happens, but to see it with my own eyes, it gave me confirmation.

and that's not the worst part, the worst was how causal it was, she was dismissive about it, like it's not a big deal, teen pregnancy that is. I mean can you believe that?! she's going to be a mother in like 3 months, totally not caring of how she's gonna raise him, where she's gonna find money to raise him, what will happen to her child, the father is in prison. I mean, Seriously!

and this was only in highschool, If I went to college, My opinion would have been even more polarized.

this is why I think, no matter how flawed our society's view on this matter is, It can't be worse than that.

I don't think it's "okay" to be homosexual per see, but you can do whatever the fuck you want, not gonna stop you, just don't ask me to think what you're doing is "acceptable".
