As someone who is just starting out their adult life: what am I even supposed to do with this news other than remind myself that every generation before me failed to give a shit about my future? I’ve spent years trying to be a conscious consumer and encouraging others to do the same, but it feels like we’re already past the point where anything short of stopping all fossil fuel drilling and usage tomorrow won’t do anything to prevent the destruction of civilization in my lifetime. I guess I’m just asking…how am I supposed to handle this information? How am I supposed to cope with knowing my future is only getting harder because of other people’s apathy?
