Anybody able to recommend good apartments downtown?

Do you mean now probably over $1000? Unless she did some major renovations to that house, I doubt it. The day I moved out (granted, this was 9 years ago), the city had tacked up a sign to the front of the house because she had so many citations. The roof was leaking, the wiring was outdated. My bathroom (while gigantic) was unattached. The windows in my studio were so old that, in the winter, it would get down to 50 degrees in there. But, if she sold it to a property management company, or did major overhauls then yeah, I can see it going for about $850+. I didn't pay any utilities, and it was actually pretty cute, way up in the trees, with a huge kitchen. I'm getting all nostalgic...it was crappy, but I had some great memories there.
