Fun stuff to do in Grand Rapids?

Sounds like you want to live somewhere with a more Hedonistic populace that favors divisive racial politics. That's not GR's fault. There's plenty to do here but if you want something else you'll have to go somewhere else. New York, Chicago, and just about any place in Southern California should do you right.

But GR does have a nightlife. It's not aimed at families and kids. Tons of music comes through downtown. Tons of niche events and shows too. Comedy, improv, rodeos, etc...

There's a lot of delicious food in GR. 21 years is too long to spend with your head in the sand claiming there's no beach nearby. It's pretty diverse for a northwest Michigan area.

If you go stand on front of van andel arena and can manage to walk for at least 5 minutes in any direction without complaining about the white business owners, you will find something to do. If you drive outward in a 20 mi radius you will find tons of natural features to explore.
