Is anybody else here a former gifted child who failed to live up to their potential?

I was reading, writing, and doing math at an 8th grade level with I was in grade 5. I was never skipped because I was also the worst behaved kid in my grade, so I was deemed too immature for that to be an option. As a result I continued to not pay attention and be a distraction, the entire rest of the way through school. I definitely never reached my potential, but I was also never really encouraged or supported in doing so by my Nparents - quite the opposite really.

After struggling to reach success in the workplace, I decided to quit working normal jobs and start growing weed instead. You don't have to leave your house, and if you're decent at what you do you can make anywhere from 50-200k per year, for less than an hour of work per day. Is that illegal? Yeah, but who cares? It's just weed... I think that has destroyed my work ethic. If I already know how to make 50 grand without leaving my house, while putting in less than 7 hours per week, then anything that pays less than 85k is a waste of time. Since I don't have skills that pay 85k per year in the work place, all work is relegated to the waste of time category.
