Anyone else still have their beloved childhood teddy/blanket even though they’re a fully grown adult? Tell me about yours and a funny story involving it!

I have a stuffed...well, its supposed to be a rabbit, but to be honest that requires a lot of imagination, its cheap, its tatty and thats how it came....but if I had to leave everything but one object, its coming with me.

I was born very premature, I was not supposed to make it, my parents brought my sister to visit me, she could not possibly have understood, but they took her anyway, to see me once....and they gave her a stuffed rabit toy to give to me. What was to be my first, and only, present. The nurses gave it a little hospital band and left it with me.

It never had a name, it would look totally inconsequential to anyone else, but over four decades later, I still have it, its never been far from me, it still has its little hospital band, the ink faded into illegibility, still as tatty and cheap as the day it was bought....and the only possession I feel at all sentimental about.
