This is a great example of just how one sided stories on the internet are.
Oop is really taking responsibility for her mistakes and is about as humble and self effacing as anyone I’ve ever see . But we still have no clue what the fuck they did to the employee they victimised. And it must have been spectacularly fucked for the victim to get the results described.
I’ve seen some of the most egregious, deliberate and generally fucked abuse of power bullshit from managers. I had an ex boss who was a milkman until his brother in law got him a job in IT management. He promptly fucked over his brother in law and ended up with his brother in law’s job. He talked openly about only hiring fat girls because pretty girls distract the useful staff. He manipulated one of his employees into a job stream that got him made redundant so he could split up that employees relationship and hook up with his girlfriend - our HR manager. He bragged about all of these acts at office drinks in front of dozens of witnesses afterwards. He told several people employees that he hired them over better applicants because they were fat and the other (pretty) applicants would have been a distraction. He told me to my face that no matter how good I was at the work, he wouldn’t recccomend me for promotion because I was autistic (in fairness, I am, but at the time I was undiagnosed and IT industry - a lot of us were undiagnosed autistic and I was a lot less severely impacted than most of my peers).
Nobody ever managed to managed to make anything stick in complaints. Nobody ever found a lawyer who’d give them the time of day complaining about his actions. Like everyone else who ever tried to fight him - I figured it was easier to just get another job and left.
So what the fuck did OOP do and how badly did they fuck up with leaving an evidence trail that they personally had to settle? And how many people through their posts were sympathetic towards them because they were writing the story and the details of exactly what they did didn’t make it into their posts?
