Back by popular demand... Scott Steiner: UNSCRIPTED & UNCENSORED!!!!! whether he was discussing his prowess in giving women orgasms, insulting fat people, or threatening to kill you, nobody did it better than Big Poppa Pump!

PWTorch Newsletter - February 6th 1999 Scott Steiner was hit with a beer during a commercial break at Nitro and it took several security guards to restrain him when he climbed the railing to try to find out who hit him. Buff Bagwell tried to take attention away from the situation by doing mic work in the ring. Earlier in the day Scott got into a confrontation with a tanning booth employee at the Target Center health club when he didn’t want to pay to tan, but then complained when the tanning bed wouldn’t turn on.

PWTorch Newsletter - March 20th 1999 When a fan chanted “steroids” at Scott Steiner at the Mar. 4 Thunder taping (which aired Mar. 11), Scott went into the crowd to try to get at the fan. Some wrestlers and other on air talent are literally scared to participate in angles with Scott because he is such a loose cannon. J.J. Dillon is apparently scared to death of him and those two don’t even have a personal grudge. Wrestlers have had to tell Scott to calm down while they practice certain spots backstage for their match later.

PWTorch Newsletter - April 17th 1999 Scott Steiner’s off–camera behaviour is beginning to frighten some in WCW. Apparently his temper has gotten the better of him and he has thrown tantrums at gyms and airports and has had to be restrained by other wrestlers on more than a couple of occasions.

Hak’s bumps in the hardcore match were scary, but not as frightening as Big Poppa Pump’s stroll around ringside. When it comes to intimidating the crowd, Scott Steiner makes Buh Buh Ray Dudley look like Mr. Rogers.

It would have made for a hell of a story if Vince McMahon would have signed Scott Steiner to a huge contract (Vince McMahon expressed an interest in signing Scott Steiner when he WCW contract was expiring in November 1998). Then, in a few years, after Scott became his top heel, have a contract dispute and double–cross him in a match finish. Then I’d like to see what Vince looked like in the documentary after he walked out of the dressing room. Actually, Vince would be smart enough to get in the getaway car with Dave Hebner and not wait around. Kidding aside, Scott Steiner does seem to genuinely believe the meaning of life is “big biceps.” From a storyline standpoint I have a problem with Scott pie–facing the referee and not getting disqualified. Matches such as Booker T vs. Scott Steiner help back up fans who claim, “Sure wrestling is fake, but some of it is real.” The one spot where Scott crossed the line was when Booker T had him backed against the security railing and fans were patting him on the back and shoulders. He got frustrated with being touched and threw a blind elbow backward to clear the hands away from him. Scott could have knocked somebody out, perhaps a kid who got scrunched against the railing by fans pushing and shoving to touch Scott. If Scott doesn’t have enough self–control or wisdom to know when he’s going too far, it’s time for Bischoff or Nash to step in and set strict ground rules. But, in an era where wrestlers complain that fans cheer all of the heels, Scott shows it’s still possible to be a genuine heel if you play the act right. The scary part is Scott isn’t acting.

PWTorch Newsletter - May 27, 2000 Scott Steiner threw a fit after the May 15 Nitro. Witnesses say he was mad that the Goldberg truck was late arriving during his angle with Rick Steiner and Tank Abbott. As a result, Scott Steiner had to sell longer than he wanted to. He was also upset that either Rick or Abbott accidentally kicked him in the mouth a short time after he had dental work done. Witnesses also laughed at Russo who tried to calm Steiner down. Says one source, "He catered to his ego because he's afraid of him like everyone else who has ever been in charge (of WCW)".
