Black Panthers in Atlanta

If you're open carrying firearms to a lockdown protest, that's terrorism. There is no purpose other than the intimidation of law enforcement, government officials and civilians. Brandishing a rifle makes no constructive contribution to your dissent.

If you feel that the government is overreaching, please recall that these decisions are being made by democratically elected officials. If you feel that the actions of these elected officials are so egregious that the use of intimidation and potentially deadly force may be warranted, please keep in mind that you would then be overriding the will of the electorate by means of violence. Earnestly believing that the democratic will of Americans should be overridden, ad hoc, by those with the means of deadly force is itself a tyrannical and terroristic philosophy.

If you disapprove of the actions of your elected officials you have the right to peaceably assemble in protest (in addition of course to your right to vote in the next election). Depending on your circumstance, you may have a right to own firearms and you may have a right to brandish them publicly, but you must understand that wielding them in an attempt at intimidation is unjust, undemocratic, and terroristic.
