“Breast is Best”

I didn't even try to breastfeed and it was the best decision I ever made. I never regretted it, not even for a second.

It's the reason that I enjoyed my daughter's newborn days, I split nights with my husband and got at least some sleep, and I was able to get out of the house when I wanted a break.

I was also able to get right back on my anxiety meds, which is another benefit, but even if that weren't an issue for me, my decision would have been the same.

I despise all of the "breast is best" BS. it's not. Do what you want. Seriously. I don't care if someone whips their boob out in public to feed their kid. You do you. Just stop exaggerating all of the benefits. The reality is that in a few years, it will not matter at all how you fed your kid. No need to make yourself feel like a superhero for feeding your kid.

And to the moms who WANTED to breastfeed but couldn't, I'm sorry and I hope that you ended up being happy with your situation. ❤️
