Brewing your own booze

Definitely check out r/prisonhooch!

I make my own wine from kits. Ends up being about $3.50 a bottle, which is more than I pay for Three Buck Chuck at Trader Joe's. It's a good way to hide how much I drink. I don't quite keep up with (my own) demand, but I can go the the liquor store only once a month or so at this point. From the outside, it looks like an artisanal craft instead of heavy drinking--I re-use bottles so there's not a bunch of empties in the recycling bin for the neighbors to see. I get supplies delivered from Amazon and spend a few hours every weekend mixing and siphoning and bottling. It's a fun hobby if you're into cooking or making stuff. And you get pretty good wine.
