The weather is good in a handful of places like Southern California. But even they have droughts and fires every year. They have earthquakes. It isn't a picnic by any means. I lived in much less affluent parts and it was tough seeing the differences good people experience there. Being eaten by bugs half the year is a reality in a LOT of the US too and that can get fucked. I prefer our damp grey safe little country for many reasons. We can go for sun to the Med easy enough in normal times. Being stuck with a $500 bill for a injection at the doctors took the wind out my sails lol.

Great place depends on your income bracket. But yes, if you are a heterosexual white person with good insurance and decent income in a low crime area without a lot of natural disasters, it can be fantastic.
