Can my fiance see me in A wedding dress (not mine)?

It is entirely up to you two. I really wanted to show my fiance pictures of dresses I didn't choose while I was shopping to get a gauge on what things he likes and dislikes (that man has an opinion on things, but often doesn't know it until he's confronted with a choice). But he was adamant about not seeing me in any wedding dress - said he was looking forward to the surprise and all the feelings he'd have when seeing me in a wedding dress for the first time on the day we get married.

I highly doubt he would really remember what a dress looked like on me 20+ months out from the wedding, but the surprise is something he's excited about, so I'm happy refraining from showing him photos from appointments. He still listens to me talk about how the appointments went, how discussing things with my mother is funny/frustrating, and whatever else; he just doesn't want to know anything about the dress or see photos.

We compromised by showing him pictures of different styles/shapes/trends from pinterest, and he gave me opinions that way. His opinions really centered on what he envisioned me in, versus what he liked objectively/in theory.
