Can we talk about how many men have No idea how to do basic domestic duties? And why woman are dating them?!

This is something my little brother legit used to do when we were kids to get out of chores. Either half assed them, pretended to not know what he was doing, or flat out refused. And it worked, eventually mom stopped trying to get him to do his part because it was more trouble than it was worth.

Meanwhile she doubled down on me as I was easily guilt tripped. Then I would be mad I was manipulated into helping AGAIN when I swore I wouldn't help if he didn't do his fair share as well. I would be resentful my choices are to let my overworked mom do all the work on her own and feel that guilt in the pit of my stomach for the rest of the day, or help her and feel angry for the rest of the day that I had to do all the work while my brother sat around playing videogames and at my mom for abusing my good nature. I had no good choices.

I told her she needed to MAKE him, she's the mom, but she was too stressed and busy I guess and she took the easy choice every time. Now as adults she will often go, "how did he turn out like this? Why is he so lazy? Why doesn't he help his wife out more?!" Gee mom, I wonder...
