Let's be honest :

1) Uighur issue is only being brought up because China threatening US world domination. US doesn't care about human rights or minorities, and is the biggest offender of both when it to their meddling in foreign nations.

2) Muslim immigrants form the votebanks to majority of left wing politicians across democracies which is why they are being labelled as oppressed when it is an objective fact that Islam is the most anti-human rights religion currently in existence and the biggest threat to all the democracies where it exists ( and even absolute authoritarian governments like China in this case. So sit and think about that for a second )
