Cleveland woman repeatedly stabs boyfriend after finding him naked on top of 12-year-old daughter, reports say

You are contradicting yourself. He is in the side of "lets be careful not to convict an innocent for the pursuit of convicting the guilty."

He isn't ignoring anything. He is simply saying, "Hey, maybe we should hear what the guy has to say. Let's investigate. Are they lying? Probably not, but we don't know."

Rape cases are statistically very difficult to prove. The closer you look, the greater the chances of finding reasonable doubt. Listening to all sides of the story in all rape cases, you can guarentee will get more rapists off the hook than it will save the guys who were innocent. That seems logical since the vast majority of accusations are legitimate cases.

At the end of the day, if you believe saving an innocent is more important than letting the guilty walk, there is nothing morally wrong with waiting until all evidence is in before making a decision. Now is this guy guilty? Sure as hell looks like it, but that doesn't mean its okay to compromise your moral integrity.
