Nobody is denying gravity exists, what is up to interpretation is the mechanism behind gravity which is mostly theory.

Or example, einsteins theory has been accepted due to consensus.

However new research into black holes is moving the study of gravity to what researchers believe is going to be a new theory of gravity that replaces Einstein's theory.
