CMV: Contractual waivers before sex is the “fairest” way to permit legal parental surrender

It's a nice idea but the real problem is that what gets lost in all of these conversations about our "rights" as consenting adults to sex without consequences is the resulting children.

Herein lies the problem. "Adults" today want all of the privileges but to be able to pick and chose their responsibilities. Point blank if your going to fuck, a child may be the result. Bring your own condoms and use them. Take birth control and do it reliably. If it fails have a back up plan or get ready to lie in the bed you made.. Don't think a baby will make a man suddenly willing to stick around if he didn't want to before. Know that you're exposing your child to the unpalatable life of the child of single mother estranged from his father. In other words, think about something other than yourself if the end result is bringing a life into the world.

An even better solution would be for people to just be resposonble for their own actions. The reality is most unplanned pregnancies are not being caused by broken or tampered condoms or trickery by devious women. They're being caused by people who were not interested in being responsible in the heat of the moment but fully concerned after the fact with what's "fair" for them.

Condoms have a 98% hour success rate. BC pills are even higher. Here is little excuse for unplanned pregnancies in the context of consensual relatuonships.
