r/WatchRedditDie would have a field day with this one. While it can be an inherently offensive word, by banning it you’re restricting people’s freedom of speech. It’s a word that exists, and personally if someone is using it in an offensive manner or their username is “ihaten****rs” or something along that line I’d rather them have in it their username because then I know not to take that person seriously. They’re either a troll, or an overt racist. While this word can damage people, that’s kinda the risk you take when going on a forum that is open to the entire internet? Censoring things just creates echo chambers. Let the racists show themselves.
