CMV: The “tipping” culture has gotten way out of hand during this pandemic.

The alternative to them doing this is that they go hungry or can't make their rent. These people have salaries on the expectation that they receive tips and now they have no avenue to actually earn that from you. I get it can be uncomfortable but have you ever had to ask a stranger for money before? It's not something most people feel ok doing and will only do so if they really need it or are doing it for someone that really needs it.

This isn't about culture and it isn't about rewarding hard work. It's about coming together to get through this as a team. Some people are doing financially ok through this whole ordeal and some aren't, especially those in the food service industry.
