COVID death In Auckland.

Maori phrases can be quite frustrating for me, because I was never taught Maori words in school (which, admittedly, was quite a lot time ago now), and because I don't really encounter the language, or anyone that speaks it, on a daily basis, other than the first sentence of the 1pm daily covid-19 press briefings.

So for me, what you said may as well have been written in German.. it would convey just as much meaning to me.

If I throw that into google translate, it comes back with "Sleep. Very sad.". Perhaps in this context it means "rest in peace"

I do understand that Te Reo is an official language of NZ, but so is NZ Sign Language, and I don't speak that either.
