Chappaquiddick pretty much scorched the rest of his existence (I was alive at the time). When I was a youth it was a huge scandal and that's all anyone talked about. Affairs (ah...the good ol days) were enough to pretty much end your life (he was married) and failing to tell police after trying to rescue the girl gave birth to the entire Chappaquiddick mythos that pretty much dominated Nixons existence. Trying to pretend that trumps (multiple) scandals are moot because of OJ and Chappaquiddick are not only logically inconsistent but weird man.
