Cyborg vs. Zingano?

This has been a topic of conversation since women started fighting in the UFC. Cyborg has gone from saying that she's going to fight at 135 to prove herself to saying that she will DIE if she goes down to 135, then back to saying she's going to try and fight at 135 in Invicta, then just dodging the question in follow-ups.

Here's what we know: Dana and Cris have both confirmed that her contract requires her to fight at 135 in Invicta before going into the UFC. Zuffa has stated that they have no interest in opening a 145 division, and Dana has repeatedly said that he will NOT have Cyborg fighting at a catchweight.

Is it possible for this to change? Sure. But I doubt it. It seemed a lot more likely when the public scope of women's MMA was Rousey finishing fights in under a minute. Now Cyborg went from being the 2nd most known active female fighter to the 4th or 5th, and that's only going to get worse now that 135 has stabilized and became a competitive division. So while nothing is impossible, this one can be thrown into the hopeful rumor pile with Jones Vs Silva and GSP's return.

Just understand that Cyborg constantly calls out people as a negotiation strategy. She's the same height as Holly Holm and a 3rd of the 135 division. There's no real reason why she couldn't cut some whey from her diet and make weight other than her thinking it'll give her a competitive disadvantage, or, at worst, just enjoying the media while getting paid 6 figures to crush cans instead of fighters that have top-level camps and strategies.

I love watching Cris fight, but this is getting old. Lose (not cut) 10lbs and go collect your million dollars instead of calling out fighters in a different division/promotion. The only reason it's acceptable to anyone is because Ronda is at the receiving end of it. Can you imagine the shit show that would follow Jon Jones calling out and insulting Rockhold, but not willing to fight him unless it was at 205?

Sorry if I sound bitter. I feel like I've been having this conversation since Strikeforce ended. Shit or get off the pot already.
