You're right, they didn't drop the case; Eric Holder did everything he could to spear this guy, and couldn't... Loretta Lynch was New York's AG at the time and did everything she could to spear this guy, and couldn't; then she became US AG after Holder's retirement, removed all the NY FBI who did the federal investigation, brought in new FBI from outside NY to do the same investigation over again, AND STILL COULDN'T PIN ANYTHING ON HIM...

They went hard trying to get the guy and couldn't because he followed police procedure and his questionable chokehold played no role in the death according to both the NYPD's and the Garner family attorney's private autopsies... The guy didn't die because his airway was blocked or damaged, he died because he overexerted himself resisting arrest and had a fucking heart attack. That's what happens when you are out of shape, weigh 450+ pounds, and decide to try and fight the police.

His morbidly obese daughter also died of a heart attack a few years later and she didn't even have to pick a fight to do it. Because heart attacks are something that happens to unhealthy people...
