Day 1? Starting your weight loss journey on Saturday, 27 May 2017? Start here!

Well, I started on Friday. 6'4, 134 Kgs and 24 years old. Yo yo'd my weight through university (waxed and waned between 110 and 125 at uni) and upon graduation just built up the remainder over the last year.

Read up on the Vince Gironda diet of steak, eggs and salad and I figured that it'd be something I could try through Ramadan to prevent cravings after fast breaks and to avoid eating bread, cake, etc... (mom's a baker of the highest quality, so not easy typically).

I've cut down the portions by half of what's listed (so from 1.4 kg of steak a day to 0.6 kg, 8 - 12 eggs to 6 eggs a day) and added in broccoli as well as a slice of watermelon for fiber instead of a salad as recommended.

So far I've dropped three kilos of what i imagine is water weight, and my cravings haven't really popped up yet. Eating twice a day works very well for Ramadan when I have the evening fast break and the early morning pre-fast meal, though eating 3 eggs and 300g of steak at 3 in the morning feels a little ridiculous.

I fully expect to get the water weight back when I get into the cheat day tomorrow, but given the calorie deficit this diet gives me meets the auto-generated recommendation from the link above so that's good.

Once Ramadan finishes I'm hoping I can get back into the gym with a little less weight, and use the diet as fuel for greater dividends.
