Day 5 without nicotine and work. Not looking forward to going back to my high stress job tomorrow.

Currently in the same boat, got some advice.

You’re going to have to find something to replace your smoke breaks at work, like 5 minute coffee/phone break whenever you would normally go have a smoke.

stay far away from the smoke pit, if you work outside try asking coworkers to smoke away from the work space (smell of smoke is a much stronger trigger than sight of it, imo)

If this is you’re first attempt at quitting, you’ll probably relapse sooner than later. unless you’ve got an iron will its pretty much inevitable. Every new attempt at quitting isn’t a reset, its the next level. Dont let yourself feel guilty or shame if it happens, that only makes it harder.

Quitting gets easier the more you try, im still struggling myself, but can go 2 weeks+ with no problems. At this point in the journey, normal cravings are easy to ignore. Stress is what will kill a smokeless streak in an instant, so the next bit is probably the most important:

Practice meditation and mindfulness. Dont ignore your cravings, it’ll just come back stronger. Immerse yourself in the uncomfortable feeling of withdrawal when it comes. try to accept that feeling instead of fighting it. Learning to cope with your cravings is the only way to be sure you’ll stay off nic. cravings will never truly go away. Search for a quit smoking guided meditation on youtube if you need it.

Mad respect for making it this far, took me months of trying to get to 5 days. Good luck my dude
