Deciding to buy Dragon of the North? Here's some info to help you decide.

I think you should also mention the complaints people have had. Specifically:

  • De-leveling, i.e. the enormous increase in XP required to level up
  • Level cap of 400 for player characters now
  • New level cap for guardian spirits as well, requiring again enormous amounts of XP
  • Enormous amounts of very situational weapon reforge effects to make the RNG perhaps many times more severe
  • Gear drops from remnants now get randomized effects instead of the item's original effects, so gear sharing is practically removed
  • Female skins unlocked, but they all require many times more glory than the most expensive male skin
  • Good old Team Ninja design in throwing more mobs at you to create "difficulty".

Basically this DLC screams of farming, farming and more farming not because there are more interesting things to farm, but because there are more garbage results. It's definitely new content, but it's also unmistakenly a simple extension of the base game. So buyers mustn't get the wrong expectation. This is a DLC, not an expansion pack.

I think it's worth the money, although I'm not so happy about the cheap time-sinks it has introduced.
