Deluxe moving its headquarters from Shoreview to downtown Minneapolis

In Deluxe’s case they are basically firing most of the normal employees who aren’t moving to Georgia, and keeping senior leadership housed in this new office. The press release says 23,000 square feet only, whilst the company’s plug on STrib claims “as many as” the existing 525 employees in Shoreview “might” work there. One person per 43 sq feet would mean brutally close quarters call center.

They are in the business of paper check and marketing office supplies to companies... post COVID, I am not sure how profitable either will remain. I certainly wouldn’t start my career there with any intent on learning new tech or bizops practices that are portable.
