Democrats kill bill requiring providers to show fetus ultrasound to abortion patients

I am pro-abortion, I just think that when you're arguing over abortion, whether for or against, it should be treated with a certain level of seriousness.

If it's no one's business that some people choose to subsist entirely on McDonald's, it's no one's business if someone's main BC method is abortion.

I perhaps overreacted, but I was reacting to this being a little too flippant in my opinion, and though she was not traumatized by her own abortion, I think its important for people to know that getting an abortion can very much be a traumatic experience.

Not that abortions shouldn't be allowed or that you should feel bad about getting an abortion if you get one, but that it CAN be traumatic for some people and there are people for which the whole topic is sensitive and people making arguments should be aware of that.

Especially to the portion of our community, who like you've pointed out, do believe it is murder or that babies have souls, etc.

I'm staunchly atheist and see no such conflict. I also want kids and know how upsetting it would be to lose a child I wanted by my partner didn't. I also know that the time that me and my ex went through this it wasn't exactly an easy decision, especially since I didn't want to make her feel pressured.

I thought it was the wrong time in our lives to be having a child and she ultimately agreed and it was extremely relieving for me when she went through with it, but I do know how upsetting it would have been if we weren't on the same page.
