This is such a bad idea. I’ve carried a firearm in combat, and for Armed security. A firearm is an absolute last resort that only be used when you or someone else’s life is in jeopardy, and even in those cases you could argue that someone is not justified in using deadly force. Not to mention someone could physically overpower you and take your gun and shoot you with it. On top of that, it’s not easy to actually hit whatever you’re aiming at, especially if someone is shooting back. The NYPD has an accuracy rate of 37%, but only at close range and when not receiving fire.
