I relied on a random fact checker to show that Biden has repeated an objective historical falsity. Not as an expert on Constitutional scholarship or American history. It was the first one to come up that confirmed **what Biden has claimed repeatedly is historically inaccurate and false.** Not surprised they try to spin it into a pro gun control argument. That's what fact checkers do. I can find a handful of other fact checkers who confirm Biden's claim is untrue that don't try to spin it.

**It is a basic, fundamental fact, that Biden claiming "You couldn’t buy a cannon" when the second Amemdnent was pasesd" is FALSE and he has said it more than once, and I would be willing to bet he will say it again.

The *Second Amendment* did not limit the type of people who could own a gun, *institutional racism* did. The people who were not allowed to own guns were Slaves, Black People, and Native Americans. Using an oppressive, unjust, systemically racist precedent to try to justify gun control in 2023 is unhinged.
