Why did that teacher get fired from your school?

He wasn’t fired, but “encouraged to retire” after an Instagram page outed him for trying to get junior and senior girls to give him their snapchats. At first it was just recent graduates (creepy as fuck but not strictly illegal) but then it progressed to current students, including girls as young as 16. It wasn’t a “he said she said” situation either, there were screen caps from around 10 different girls that showed him DMing them on Instagram asking for their Snap. This was in December or January, and he was gone by the next Fall semester. The last time I saw him was at the funeral of a friend of mine- he was in marching band all four years, and the teacher was the marching band instructor. I wasn’t too put off by him being there (he had known the kid for half a decade, he was probably genuinely distraught) but then I saw him talking with the kid’s sister and doing the whole “hand on shoulder” comforting thing, which wouldn’t have been sinister if not for the revelations. I seriously thought about punching the guy but that would have made an enormous scene, which was not what was needed. I went to a bar with a bunch of the guys afterwords and realized that there were like 3 or 4 of them who had the exact same thought process I did.
