I do not think it will work. Don't get me wrong, a there will be people that blame Obama for any future economic crisis. However, if there becomes a prolonged recession, what happens if it appears that there is no end in sight and the GOP, who is in power in all branches in the government, cannot do anything about it?

Historically, the party that is in office during an economic crisis gets voted outed during the next election, especially if such crisis has lingered into election time.

I have a question for you. Has there ever been a time where a political party has been in charge during the onset of some economic recession and was able to successfully blame the opposing party for causing it and thus win the election?
