Drama about Suzy from Game Grumps has been making its rounds on the GG related subreddits. Here's some drama that popped up on /r/conspiracygrumps

This drama is way juicer than the OP of this post let's on. I'll do my best to summarize

First some background: Gamegrumps is a letsplay channel that has somewhat of a cult following, somewhat recently suzy started appearing on the show(She is the Wife of Egoraptor one of the original personalities of the channel)

Suzy has some other buttery history on the subbreddit in that she once invoked a copyright takedown of a fanmade video that she felt painted her in a bad light, this caused a very big stir(her husband being an LPer and all) and a lot of people still resent her for it.

To the Drama at hand: very recently she's been featured a lot more prominently on the show ,so the subreddit went into a drama split over whether Suzy was enjoyable to watch on the show. A lot of people don't like her on the show, but she also get's a lot of support, she's very divisive i guess you could say. A lot of the anti Suzy's think that she's being whiteknighted particularly r/ventgrumps which is a subreddit that mostly discusses things they don't like about how gamegrumps have changed since the channel started. Anti Suzy's think she's being given a pass because she's a girl, and if she were a man many fans would be less eager to defend her performance on the show.

On the other hand there are many accusations of sexism due to Suzy being the only female personality on the channel, as well as there being a great deal of sexism from the youtube comments section. Suzy made a tumblr post saying that the amount of hate she receives is due to sexism and providing screenshots directly to several sexist youtube comments in a separate post.

There is also a secondary minor drama mostly on the vent grumps subreddit, where it was found she was selling her selfmade jewlery for around 100 dollars where similar jewlery is being sold for like 5 bucks. She Said this was because she bought her regents from local suppliers to support them so it costed more. Some people don't buy that explanation. This has not affected the main subreddit much.
