Equestria Daily is launching a Steven Universe site. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this...

Since you replied to my comment, I will respond. First, I would like to apologize for speaking on behalf of the OP since I don't know the basis of the mixed feelings. I had honestly forgotten how vicious people get about furries and such. Almost anytime bronies had to explain themselves in my memory, they had always made a concerted effort that most of the fandom is not furries, since there is a lot of pictures and such of a sexual nature on the internet (what else is new.)

First off, while pedophilia is wrong, I don't really care about any form of sexual expression that doesn't hurt anybody. I am secular about it, so there isn't "the way god intended for me".

That being said, I think a lot of it has to do with hypersexual space of online fandoms in general. Name a fandom, and anyone can find you pornography on it. The more taboo the pornography, the more of it will be produced as a counter to the societal suppression.

The mlp board on 4chan. I never been there, so I don't know. I am not a fan of 4chan. I believe that bronies were at one time excluded from 4chan, and then unceremoniously given their own board, which at the time didn't attract the main fanbase due to them having made their own online space like EqD. What didn't find a place on EqD and other mainstream fan aggregation websites returned to the land of free speech called 4chan. I think think that is what you are encountering.

I've seen brony conventions, I have talked to many of them. They have shown me their websites. I don't think I saw anything sexual on any of them but their fanfiction website, which is to be expected in every fandom.

If you look at any official surveys or brony behavior, you will find that most of them don't identify with furries and many of the dislike furries. The ones I met while researching them for a college paper on the interaction of religion and fandom made a big deal and distinguishing themselves from furries. The reason I guess for this is people see furries as "defective" and "wrong", and so they don't want to be associated with them. It was almost like the untouchable caste within their fandom.

If you hate me because of my general indifference about people's sexual proclivities and assume things about me because "I must be one of them because I don't hate them" and "I am wrong because I don't agree with you", I don't really think we can get along.
