Euromaidan activist Ivan Bubenchik, gave an interview, in which he told how he was killing Berkut riot police officers during mass riots in Ukraine.

I'm seeing 13 officers killed in the whole revolution, including only one member of Berkut, named Nikolay Semchuk. However, the only source for this man's death seems to be Russian, with RT continuously crowing about it and no source for his death on the wikipedia page while every other death has a citation. It doesn't inspire confidence that it actually happened. Maybe somebody else can find something better.

Of course, this pales to the 100+ dead and 1,100+ injured protestors.

I guess those Ukrainians were fed up with how things were going. That happens when your president accepts a $2 billion bribe from Russia to crack down on the protestors--Putin gave the Yanukovych the $2 billion--part of a bigger $15 billion--and had a lengthy phone call with Putin on February 17, 2014--the day before he unleashed the Berkut to kill protesters with sniper rifles.

Ukrainian Berkut police shot 76 protestors dead in the streets over the days following that call--February 18-20, 2014. Nikolay Semchuk was purportedly shot on the 20th while his comrades were murdering those protestors. With the Berkut denouncing the protestors as Jews on their Facebook page--no joke--literally throwing molotov cocktails at protestors, and brutalizing and killing people, he certainly was not on the "good guy" team, and honestly, the Berkut shouldn't expect to murder people without any resistance. Some of the Berkut were even charged in court after the revolution.

It's easy to see how this violence was all a Russian plot to meddle in Ukraine's internal affairs, and Nikolay Semchuk just paid the price for that. Russian gets insecure and other countries bleed for it.

Extra: RT claims that the Berkut never shot anybody and are, in fact, victims. Here is a video of the Berkut shooting people: NSFL
