Extended fasting to reach weight loss and fitness goals?

Extended fasting is beneficial for health and weight loss, but if the priority is pure fat loss, with minimal muscle catabolism, PSMF is a better option. You wont make any gains during either fast, but you should lift heavy with low volume to preserve as much muscle as possible.

I think the bigger issue here, is you're not being patient and you haven't been consistent. Now you're rushing to catch up. Again, the biggest benefit of fasting is health, and when someone jumps on an extended fast to drop weight quickly, it's usually a giant red flag. Especially considering 24% isn't exactly a lofty goal unless you're obese. If you're only trying to drop 15 lbs, you're probably better off with a 25% caloric deficit (I personally do two water fasts a week, and eat at maintenance for 5 days).

I've done a few 5 day fasts, but I've always had more success with getting cut through patient dieting and training. Learn to enjoy the process of busting your ass, and stop being so fixated on the end goal. You're setting yourself up for disappointment, even if you are successful.
