I got into a car accident and my insurance sent me a check for the worth of my totaled car. I deposited it, shopped around, and then went to withdraw 10k the day I was gonna buy the car. The bank teller looked at me so suspiciously and asked what it was for, how long had I been with that bank branch, and some other questions I thought were weird. She ended up asking the manager if I could even withdraw that much and the manager was cool and said yeah, if he has the money in his account and we have the cash on hand, give it to him.

I'm now realizing how lucky I am that since I'm white I was able to leave that day with my money and not have the cops called on me.
