Family bonding over D&D

My 57 year old parents started asking me about the game and decided they wanted to try it to see what it's like. I thought this would be a fantastic way to try DMing for the first time without any pressure so I created our first session. Also I just enjoy including them in things I like, so I was happy and surprised when they asked.

While they are not familiar with RPGs, and needed some prodding to get the adventure going. Their RPing was surprisingly fantastic, they didn't do anything particularly noteworthy other than accidentally waterboarding a goblin, but their conversations were just incredibly fluid and in character that I just let them talk about nothing for a while.

They ended up loving it, and want to play again.

Also my Dad keeps laughing at how when he was younger all he ever heard about the game was that it was devil-worshiping and now that he played it, he thinks it's hilarious/ridiculous that people thought that.

I'd love to introduce my nieces to the game now, but I think they might still be a bit too young
