FBI: Americans Lost $1 Billion to Romance Scams in 2021

I haven’t seen that video yet, but saw a documentary where they interviewed scammers in Nigeria. People are envisioned some sociopath living in his mom’s basement, but they were interviewing normal guys supporting their families with their business. One guy was a good looking college professor who paid fir his education by working for a romance scam company. They see it as selling a product (fantasy) & their victims must be rich to freely giving money to strangers. There’s no remorse, not because they are psychopaths, but because they either see it as a legitimate business or a tax on the stupidity of people with too much disposable income.
