Fnatic drop Noxiak, bring in LCS rookie Klajbajk

Just wanted to share some thoughts

Riot needs to make 18 (or what ever the legal adult age is in EU) the age for pro players.

When Riot tried to increase the age limit in Challenger Series to 17, just like LCS, a lot of teams a CS pro players were vehemently against it and blamed rito for it. Increasing the minimum age limit reduces the carrier of potential pro players, hence the anger.

You should be a legal adult before you can be a pro and it would make getting players their own living spaces a lot easier.

True. Nothing to say against that. However, 17 or 18? Legally, it could make a difference but practically, for a teenager/young adult? Doesn't change jackshit. It's not because you're suddenly a legal adult that you'll find living alone much easier and attractive.

I'd say you missed the biggest point and advantage, when it comes to raising the age limit: it enables players to end at least their high school studies before jumping into the pro scenes (for lots of country, 18 will be around the age you finish high school).

They could even pay them more in exchange for them having to pay their own bills

Something a company wouldn't like to do...

have a system set up similar to college sports and have all the players live in the same apartment complex but each have their own apartment

Could be possible, but it would mean Riot would have to become a kind of real estate company and care about real estate. And that would represent a huuuuge investment with low profitability, and would be a nightmare (finding an empty complex appartement? In Berlin? Should we build one? Will we have the place? The authorizations?). Not conceivable right now, plus it prefers to let the team deal with the accommodation.

Could you imagine a college basketball team living together?

I, personally, definitely can and see no problem that would prevent this from happening at all. That's just an updated version of flatsharing: it could go right or wrong, depending on the personalities and willingness of the players. You just need some space (and I'm not talking about a super hyper big appartment; Fnatic's house seems fine to me).

I could not imagine being 17 or 18 without a car

Lots of European can do it, actually. It's not like they are in the countryside, where they'd need a car. Most of the EU teams are in Berlin downtown or close too (and public transportations are not so bad there).

having no way to really get out and just have my own me time.

Just have to go out in the street, or if you don't want to go outside, in your room.

I'm not saying gaming house are good (or bad), but I kind of disagree with most of what you said.
