Claimed I was controlled by the devil to tempt him (when he was the one who first approached me), started getting me into trouble at work because he believed women shouldn’t work and wanted to get me fired so I’d stay home, coerced me into having sex with him (I was 18, he was 24) then told his prayer group that I was sinful and seduced him to commit premarital sex. When I broke things off, he went after my best friend who was married and told her that after praying, God showed him that he and her were ordained to be together and he’ll even forgive her for being used goods.

Op, you haven’t started dating this friend yet and he’s already showing signs that he’s crazy. Don’t do the same thing I did. The shit I’ve mentioned is just the tip of the iceberg.
