Future Sixers: Josh Jackson Could be a Star

1) Nik Stauskas has a great work ethic. Buddy Hield has a great work ethic. You're appealing to media narratives that are written to paint draft prospects in a positive light.

2) The fact that his coaches are trying to change his mechanics is just more evidence that his shot is broken. He extends his arms and brings the ball up in front of his body. Not only are his %'s bad, but his form is bad as well.

3) Exceptions are not the norm. Some guys improve their shooting at a rate faster than the average, most don't. For every Kawhi there is a MCW, Payton, MKG, etc. The rest is just more work ethic dribble.

4) He has a great offensive impact because he's surrounded by shooters and has the ball in his hands (27% usage rate). If he plays with Simmons, the ball will not be in his hands. His skills then become redundant.

5) He will not have the same impact on a team with Simmons because his skills are redundant. Who would you rather have play with Lebron, Giannis or Curry? Another ball handling forward who can't shoot or a guard who is lights out? We are past the point of drafting BPA regardless of fit. We need to build a team around Simmons and Embiid. That means we take guys who may be a little less talented if they are better fits.
