fxyo's statement regarding ban

I have no pity for iBuyPower. I do for Epsilon (I'm unsure on the Alsen specifics so cannot comment). It isn't right that severity of the action is not taken into consideration.

Both teams match fixed. That is what everyone understands. One team matchfixed for a total of approximately $500 and another for approximately $10,000 (with some unconfirmed rumours that it was even higher).

Both can no longer play CSGO majors again. One "crime" is literally 20 times larger than the other, but they both have gotten the same punishment.

I understand the community would have lost their shit if Epsilon were unbanned and not iBuyPower even though the cases are different. If that's the reason Valve have unified the sentences then that is pathetic and unjustified.

Fxyo's example is something I often see and get confused when it doesn't pick up traction and instead gets shutdown. Understanding firstly that they did indeed fix and are guilty and that this is not about whether or not they should be punished but rather at the level of which.

One group of people steal 1 monitor (144hz approx $500 aud). Another group of people steal 20 monitors. When caught and processed at the end of the day do you expect both groups to receive exactly the same punishment? Both did the same thing, but it is obvious how the cases are different?

Same type of punishment, sure, that can be justified. But, the identical "sentence"? That seems ludicrous.

For Epsilon to be grouped with iBP certainly sends the no tolerance message, so if that's what Valve wanted to do they succeeded. However, it fails to be fair which is what they're expecting from their players but unable themselves to be fair.
