Once I heard about the G36 nerf I basically quit playing..... As a player with 600+ hours into building a 255k dps / 450k+ toughness / 20k + SP Character only to have every piece of gear I spent hours grinding for nerfed to the point of being useless only to struggle through the first parts of underground basically starting from square one with new gear sets etc completely frustrated that it is damn near impossible to kill anything. Finally after several hours of trying different weapon combos with different mod combos not finding anything that gives me a chance with challenging enemies solo or even the ability to run the DZ.... Getting the g36 drop finally turned my day in the new expansion around .... Finally I am able to run challenging missions again solo, and with the reload bonus of the firecrest gear finally found a suitable replacement for my brutal deadly determined AUG. Just as I am thinking that this update and patch might be ok, I hear that there are talks that the g36 is to powerful and is being nurfed........ Right then and there I basically gave up......After all the time I put into this game I feel like there are no options other than to use a "tanktition" build and run in circles shooting sticky bombs all over the dark zone unable to be killed by the dps players that have no ability to do enough damage to kill me before my heal regens ................ wtf Massive ?! ..... Id like to think that the brutal nerfs to the sentry / striker / smg meta was aimed at improving game play, but it feels now like whenever there is a popular combo of talents or gear it just gets nerfed. That being said, is it even worth it to spend the time to perfect a new gear set / weapon combo? IMO Not really given the games history thus far.
