Is gay bodybuilder porn wheying down /r/broslikeus? Two users get to the bottom: "Just because I don't subscribe to your limp-wristed fantasies, you simpering queen."

It even extends quiet a bit beyond that. I understand the replies in this thread from people outside of the community perceiving "gay culture" and/or "gay bro culture" to be toxic, but that's ignoring a large part of other communities in the gay culture which would also be considered "toxic", by probably quite a number of people in this thread who are replying saying "gay bros" are toxic.

Personally I'm not super masculine or feminine, but I can see the idea behind finding other people you relate to as being attractive. If I was a gay guy who liked sports, why wouldn't I appreciate being around other gays who liked sports? It's not intended to be an offense against gays who are feminine and/or don't like sports, it's just simply what interests me, and I might like to associate with people with similar interests (also I don't like sports this is just an example).

There are a lot of divergent so called "sub cultures" in the gay community... the clubbers, the ones who like sports, the ones who don't believe in monogamy, the ones who do, the ones who want children, the ones who don't, the ones that think gender is a social construct, the ones who don't, the ones who think marriage is also a social construct, and the ones who don't.

Ultimately this whole thread, here in srd, is problematic for me, because it feels like these "outsiders" are judging us as a whole based on smaller groups within the community. It seems like it might be akin to my judging all straight people by comments in /r/childfree. Contrary to opinions in this thread, we are not all the same, despite one specific thing holding us together. And we don't all have to be.

It's honestly a weird suggestion to me that every gay should like every other gay despite their so called masculine/feminine side. Should every straight guy be attracted to a masculine women? The responses here are just so... out of touch with reality.
